Tricky Deck
Michael, or "Michelangelo" as we prefer to call him, is a true artist with wood. We engaged Michael to replace stairs from a first-floor deck to the ground, using hardwood which we wanted oiled only (we did the oiling). Demolition and construction was done with meticulous attention to detail, and considerable thought in the construction phase to ensure minimal fixtures visible on the wood. We then progressed to replace the whole deck and railings, all in all approximately 40m2, but in two distinct sections. There were numerous problems along the way, as we removed existing deck to find "suprises". Michael's problem solving for these issues was excellent, also creative and in keeping with the theme of allowing the wood to shine. We have more decking works to be done, and Michael will be doing them for us, without a doubt.
I also need to say that working with Michael was a pleasure. He is incredibly reliable and to be honest, we miss having him come each day. That includes our dog!
